Nike Sportswear – Summer 2010 Collection | Preview

Hosted by its subsidiary in Taiwan, Nike and Nike Sportswear unveiled the new product offerings for Summer 2010 at a daylong event in the capital city of Taipei. Featured items from several segments Nike will be focusing upon this year, including the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa and continue its dominance in the sport of tennis with updated colorways of its Grand Slam Polo line. The athletic giant also introduced several new company initiatives – a continuation on expanding its women’s collection plus introduction of new lifestyle oriented designs, such as the Aina Chukka, Air Feather Hi, Lunarlite Rejuven8 Mid and Air Maxim Torch+. Nike Air Max 3 White/Metallic Gold

Earlier on in his career, while with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kevin Garnett wore a number of shoes with Nike that sneakerheads still think of rather highly. For example, the Nike Air Flightposite II was a beloved former Kevin Garnett signature Nike sneaker that released recently in a metallic zinc colorway. Now another former Kevin Garnett signature Nike sneaker has once again been made available. The Nike Air Max 3 pictured here also got redone with metallic accents, this time coming in a very shiny gold mixed with white. This pair of Nike basketball shoes is actually available for purchase now from select Nike retailers including Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations nationwide. Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) Sample – Cool Grey / Purple

Earlier in 2010, we previewed the Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) in a white/navy and white/green colorway, and we now have new images of a sample of LeBron James’ fourth Zoom Soldier sneaker. As seen by the photo, the Zoom Soldier IV (4) will host a breathable mesh upper with a forefoot strap and a Nike ZOOM sole. This specific style yields a cool grey upper with purple, white, and black accents. Another key aspect of this model is the use of flywire, which is most readily seen on the forefoot strap. The Nike Zoom Soldier IV (4) is expected to release later this year, so stay tuned for any updates.

Nike Dunk High “Patchwork” Collection – Teaser

To kick off the week, we gave you a look at two Nike Dunk colorways that sport some university blue coloring and a part of Nike’s Spring collection. Now we have come across a teaser picture to show you of a Nike Dunk high collection being prepared for a Spring/Summer 2010 release. These Nike Dunk highs are sure to grab the attention of passers by and break necks because of the different colored patches that engulf the upper. Lastly, the bubble gum outsole is sure to be well-received as well. Keep it locked here for any news regarding release information as it surfaces.

Nike Air Max Lebron VII (7) – Christ the King H.S.

Back in January, we originally previewed the “Christ the King” Nike Air Max LeBron 7, and we are now receiving word that the sneaker has arrived at certain House of Hoops locations. Featuring a maroon upper accented by a white toebox, gold laces, white swoosh, gold LBJ logo on the rear, and a maroon air max bubble in the sole, this pair is definitely one of the better colorways of LeBron James’ newest signature sneaker. As previously mentioned, the Nike Air Max Lebron VII (7) – Christ the King H.S. is now available at selected House of Hoops locations for $160.

Nike “Brazil True Colors” Release Party Ft. NUNCA | Photo Recap

One of the notable flurry of activities this week comes from the Nike 6 Collaborations with Brazilian artist, NUNCA. Aside from product releases and drops, Nike also commemorated the releases with a special launch party at Special in Milan.

A quick recap, the Nike 6 Collaboration is an extensive collaborative project between Nike and six different artists. Each artists comes from a different country and is called on to design a special team kit for his or her nation participating in this year’s FIFA World Cup, and Nunca proudly represents the five-time world champion, Brazil.

The “Brazil True Colors” release party held at Special isn’t just a night of browsing through fresh items, but also includes a special appearance and performance by Nunca. For the event, Special had been transformed from window to wall with Nunca’s artwork and special displays for the team kit. A green locker stand serenly in the window displaying the new Brazil team kit apparel and accessories while the window itself is dressed in the special font and icons designed by Nunca for the collaborative project. A large drawing of a Nike kick sprawls impressively from the wall to the ceiling. For the night of the party, tastemakers and fans gathered in Special, checked out the fresh confections and had their purchases autographed by Nunca. Nike Hyperdunk “Aston Martin” – New Pictures

Nike dropped a pretty unexpected bomb on us when we finally got a look at an Aston Martin-inspired pack of the Nike Hyperdunk and Zoom Kobe V. Now we have a collection of new pictures to show you of the Nike Hyperdunk in this pack. This Hyperdunk colorway comes drenched in metallic silver, with a mix of dark grey and some red lining/stitching. Finally, this “Aston Martin” Nike Hyperdunk also sports the usual Flywire paneling and bares the Black Mamba’s government name on the tongue. Enjoy these new images after the jump.

Nike Blazer AC 3M

Nike have recently released this new version of the Blazer AC constructed of mixed upper materials including 3M reflective material. In normal light the sneaker looks basic with silver upper atop a clean white midsole, however when the flash is on the majority of the side becomes lit up. Heel, Swoosh, toe cap and velcro straps are left untouched in shiny silver material with light glitter that gives off some shine as well. White midsole color is mirrored on the piping on the tongue and inner lining tightening up the exterior. Adding to the futuristic look is five thin velcro straps that provide an alternative to standard shoe laces. via: West NYC

Nike Auto Force Trainer

Nike made a bold move when it decided to design the Nike Air Max A Lot, which is a hybrid of the Nike Air More Uptempo and Nike Air Pippen II. Just because two separate sneaker designs are successful, that does not mean a hybrid of the two will be also. In some cases they do work out, in others they don’t as much. But Nike is back at it again with the hybrids. We would like to show you the Nike Auto Force Trainer, which is pictured here in two colorways. This is a hybrid between the Nike Air Trainer SC II and basically any other Nike shoe that sports a vulcanized sole. There are already plans for these to release in kids sizes, but it is yet unknown whether they’ll be dropping in adult sizes. What are your initial thoughts?
