We’ve seen Super Mario Bros.-inspired sneaker releases such as the two pairs of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars that released last year. Converse Japan this time applies the Super Mario Bros. theme to the One Star Ox. This pack also comes in a black and a white colorway. Mario and Luigi are pictured on the heel of each colorway, while both also use the Super Mario Bros. “life star” where the Converse One Star usually appears. This pack is set to drop come March of this year.

Just yesterday we saw some of the Spring 2012 Converse collection, which includes the Chuck Taylor All Star. Today, we learn something a little bit more interesting. Bape founder NIGO has once again decided to team up with Japan’s Converse Addict line. The two worked on the aforementioned Chuck Taylor All Star high; and, it seems that the colorways created will include trendy zippers along the outer side of each foot. Take a look at this sneak peek; and, be on the look-out for a drop in early March of this year.

Following up their last collaboration with mita, Puma is back with a new release of their classic Suede Mid.

Sporting a look very similar to that of the “Gold Classic Pack”, these premium Pumas are part of the “Made In Japan” imprint and boasts premium burgundy and navy suede uppers alongside minimal branding and a contrasting white sole.

The premium “Made In Japan” Suede Mids are available now via mita.

A mere ten days after covering a collaborative project between New Balance and a number of different retailers concerning the ML581 model, we get some news regarding another great collaborative effort between New Balance and some more shops in anticipation of celebrating the upcoming year. As many of you already know, 2012 will be the Chinese Zodiac year of the Dragon. That is where the inspiration for this model 574 Dragon Pack comes from. The brand is working closely with Singapore’s Limited Edt, Taiwan’s Invincible, China’s NPC and both Whiz and mita Sneakers from Japan. Check out the interesting dragon-inspired colorways of the New Balance 574 pictured here and stay tuned for developing release news and variations because those are still up in the air.

mastermind JAPAN has made its way into the sneaker buzz recently via such collaborations as the ones with Vans and Converse. Now it lends its creative juices to the classic Timberland 6 inch boots. Pictured here, the mastermind JAPAN x Timberland 6 inch boots comes in the wheat colorway we’ve all come to love with those classic gold accents. However, a couple of interesting twists come by way of the skull and bones logo on the left tongue and a zipper that can cover the shoe laces up. These are dropping from participating retailers today.

mastermind JAPAN has been busy with collaborations as of late, having recently teamed up with Converse on a Jack Purcell mid. Well, the Japanese brand is back at it- teaming up with the Vans team, which has resulted in a Sk8 hi. The resulting colorway is a straightforward black/white; however, a skull & bones image on the toe cap, black/white checkered pattern along the inside, and heel zipper add much by way of accents. These are available for purchase now from participating retailers.
