Nike SB Omar Salazar LR – Obsidian/White

Last month, we saw an obsidian colorway of the Nike SB Omar Salazar LR with red accents by way of the mudguard stripe and tongue logo. Today, we come across a similar colorway with darker accents only, giving it a rather “New York Yankees” feel. The LR versions of the Nike SB Omar Salazar sport a leather/suede mix along the upper; and, this particular one has also been made available for purchase from select Nike SB retailers as of this month.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro – Navy Blue + White – First Look

For quite some time now the sneakerhead community has been buzzing on just one family of Nike, Foamposites. After the crazy display at Penny’s event in Las Vegas we got to see some previews of new Foamposites coming out next year in 2012. Today we have a first look at yet another Foamposite in the Pro mold. Here we see the Nike Air Foamposite Pro in Navy Blue and White giving the shoe almost a “New York Yankees” feel. Celebrity Sneaker Watch: Jay-Z Gives Back Wearing Android Homme

Jay-Z kept things clean and casual as he wore the Android Homme Propulsion Hi sneakers at a recent charity event. The Black Rock colorway, which released this past Spring 2011, features a rich leather upper, white rubber outsole, black accents around the tongue lining and ankle area, and is complete with its double velcro strap. Moreover, The Shawn Carter Foundation benefit carnival was held on the Hudson River waterfront at Pier 54 in NYC and attracted many of Jay-Z’s close celebrity friends including Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees, singer, Estelle, and drummer/producer, Questlove to name a few. The event brought in over $1 million dollars which will go toward providing higher education scholarships to urban youth.

Last week we showed you that the New Balance 574 model was recently designed with a New York Yankees-esque navy/grey/white color palette. But since the Summer season is finally about to get here, New Balance has turned to a more tropical source of inspiration. Using the M574 model, New Balance offers us some tropical flavor by way of a Tropical Fruit pack that consists of three very fruitfully colored uppers in different combinations of green/red/yellow/orange. Also of notice are the speckled soles each of the three colorways in this Tropical Fruit pack come with. Will you taste this New Balance M574 rainbow?

New York Yankees fans are most certainly going to be looking forward to the navy/white pair of Nike Lebron 8 V.2s releasing this year. However, those who wear Grade School sizes will have another pair to look forward to- as will the Toddlers. Pictured here is a pink/black/white Nike Lebron 8 V.2 that will most certainly catch the eyes of passers by. Will you be buying these for a “Grade Schooler” or “Toddler” in your life? If you are, you should also be aware of the fact that the little cute Toddler sizes will include an ankle strap.

NEIGHBORHOOD x BAPE – BROTHERHOOD 2010 Collection | Available Now

The bond between people could go well beyond friendship, especially when toiled among difficulties of life. The camaraderie resulted only be described by one word – brotherhood, a meaning too familiar by 2 Harajuku pioneers, Nigo (BAPE) and Shinsuke Takizawa (NEIGHBORHOOD).

Product of a longstanding tradition between the 2 creative directors, where as NEIGHBORHOOD reflects on the classic rebellious Americana, BAPE takes on a more urbanite approach. BROTHERHOOD combined the core themes from both. One other indicative symbolism of the collection is the interesting logographic, a letter “N” from NEIGHBORHOOD intersect with “A” from A Bathing Ape. But purposefully similar to the New York Yankees’ insignia, a city which influenced both men greatly.

Lately, we have seen a lot of Jordan Brand news regarding Derek Jeter and/or sneakers/cleats inspired by the New York Yankees shortstop. If you recall, Jordan Brand recently prepared a Defining Moments version of the Jordan Jeter Throwback cleat for Derek Jeter to wear in special games.
