Nike Air Force 180 Olympic Barkley 2012 | First Look

Today we have first images of the Nike Air Force 180 Olympic Barkley which will presumably release some time next year. The upcoming release of this sneaker comes just in time for the start of the 2012 Olympic games, and although we won’t witness the “Dream Team”, the original colorway will do.

As we saw the hybrid model Nike Auto Force 180 Olympic release in 2009, next year’s model will take its original form as last seen back in 2005. Considering next year’s Olympics, it is likely that we’ll see even more red, white, and blue sneakers as we’ve already announced the return of the Air Jordan VI (6) Olympic Retro and Barkley CB34. Could there even be another Air Joran VII Olympic?

Nike Auto Force 180 Mid – Grey / Black / Crimson

Aside from the new Nike Air Hoop Structure Flywire, the latest basketball hybrid to release really turns heads. The Nike Auto Force 180 Mid rocks a grey/black/crimson colorway, with a full grey leather upper, black leather swoosh, and grey carbon fiber design along the midsole. Crimson red offset the solid colors to give this a Transformers feel. The midsole is donned in white with a black vulcanized toe to finish off this sweet pair of kicks. The retail price for these is $88, but are out on eBay for a nice price.

In September we brought you a look at a pair of the Nike Auto Force 180 that was VERY popular among many sneaker circles, most likely because of the classic black-red/white colorway it comes in. Now, we’re glad to show you a pair that might even attract more attention- because of its less conventional color scheme and patterns. The Nike Auto Force 180 pictured here and set to release this Holiday season of 2009 sports a predominantly black upper, and patent leather toe lining. Moreover, there are yellow and blue accents that add some flavor to a shoe that sits atop a completely white sole. How do you guys feel this colorway compares to the black-red/white and the NYC pair?

Nike Auto Force 180 – Olympic

Back in June, Freshness showed you some shots of the Nike Air Auto Foce 180 that would be released during the holiday season, and now we have some more shots of the preliminary release. It appears that some significant changes have been made since those images were released. The Olympic model of the well-known Charles Bakley release used navy, red, white, and gold, as did the preliminary shots of the Auto Force 180. This model replaces the navy portions of the upper, strap, and tongue with black. The sole is black with a band of red above it, and it resembles the vulcanized look of the Blazer. We will likely see some more of this sneaker as the release date nears, but for now, 95soleman has pairs on ebay for a pre-release.

Nike Sportswear’s October line-up is quite an impressive one, the collection spanning a variety of popular silhouettes. We’ve seen previews of a few of these models over the past couple weeks, like the speckled Nike Dunk High and Nike Auto Force 180, but some colorways — most notably the Purple/Blue/White Blazer High — come as a pleasant surprise. Most of the hype surrounding the Nike Auto Force 180 comes from the anticipated “New York City” pair. However, another super clean colorway of the Auto Force 180 has recently dropped, which is also sure to catch its fair share of attention. The pair pictured here comes in a predominantly black upper made up of both leather and mesh materials. Red and white accents complete this shoe, which sits atop a completely white sole. What do you guys think of this colorup? Is it worth the almost $90 price tag?

You already know we had you covered with a preview of the Nike Auto Force 180 in a Royal Blue/Orange/White colorway. But now, we’re happy to report that certain Nike retailers have begun to actually get shipments of these bad boys. This really is a nearly impeccable project, with a vulcanized sole in all-white and an upper that includes blue and orange mesh. In case you couldn’t already “tell by the way that we walk, the way the we talk,” cocky New Yorkers will definitely gravitate towards these kicks. And we’re willing to bet even some outta towners will be sporting these. Check in with your local Nike retailers to see what your chances are of copping.
